Why we Made This
For many of us, cooking begins with onions. And so does the preparation. Peeling, slicing and watering eyes have simply become part of the routine. We wondered if they really had to be. So we prepared the onions for you. Fresh onions are peeled, sliced and gently dehydrated using a temperature-controlled process. Nothing else is added. You still cook your food your way—we simply help you get there faster. Because the beginning of every meal shouldn't feel like the longest part.

Product journey of Dehydrated Onion Slices
01 sourcing
We source fresh, mature, firm, disease-free red onions (Allium cepa) from farms practicing minimal chemical use, or organic/natural farming.
02 cleaning
Sourced Onions are then washed thoroughly with clean potable water to remove soil, dirt, and surface contaminants.
03 cutting
After the outer papery skin as well as roots and tops are cut, the Onions are sliced into uniform thickness (2–3 mm) to ensure even drying.
04 drying
The slices are spread in single layer on stainless steel mesh trays and dried at 55–60°C for 6–8 hours (hot air circulation) until moisture is <6%.
05 packing
Packed in multi-layer barrier pouches (metalised PET/PE or kraft paper lined) to protect from light, moisture and air
